RETURN TO 1820 TO 1849

Frederick Bee's mother lived in a cottage on Hamilton College campus.
Thank you to John Burdick of the Clinton Historical Society for this information, "Mary Cadwell had a mortgage on the cottage and six acres dated June 4, 1844 which was held by the college. April 15, 1852 a legal notice was printed that she had defaulted. She owed $245.69 with interest from October 1, 1851. About ten years later the college decided to build their library on that spot."
